As a twist on the typical sculptural theme decor, the design brief for these cute little critters called for them to be plumbed and fitted out with spray nozzles. The routing of plumbing and access to control equipment was first felt with during faux rock fabrication. The kiwis were sculpted in halves and then cast in FRP. They were fitted with an aluminum armature to carry their weight. Finally the plumbing was installed. The last step was connecting the plumbing in the statues to the plumbing in the rock work and affixing them to the rock. Did we mention the the big one stands on one foot?
